Only 3 steps!
Step 1. Accreditation
All school credentials needs to reviewed from high school transcripts to current professional license. I used CGFNS for this step. The speed of their processing is dependent on how well and prompt you supply and upload the information needed on their website. It is pretty straight forward once you created an order for a CES report. The order itself will generate the list of all the needed documents.
CGFNS: https://applicants.cgfns.org/portal/view/login?ref=start_app_login
CES Academic report (1 year validity from date of issue)
Fee: $300
Step 2. Eligibility
Letting the BON of IL know you want to practice nursing as a registered nurse in their state. For this step, you will complete your 041 Registered Professional Nurse Examination application. Note, the above steps are required to complete eligibility. This step will prompt fingerprinting too.
Fingerprinting: www.idfpr.illinois.gov/LicenseLookUp/fingerprintlist.asp
Exam fee: $107
Step 3. Examination
Create an account, pay, receive your ATT (Authority To Take) and schedule your exam.
Pearson Vue: https://wsr.pearsonvue.com/testtaker/signin/SignInPage/NCLEXTESTING?locale=en_US
