To satisfy your restless feet.

We had fun picking up rocks and we enjoyed climbing the dunes.
It is still summer and you have to get away! Here is the itinerary we tried.
Day 1
Van Burren State Park
2 hour drive from Chicago
Spend the morning at the state park enjoying the sand and the waves
Choose a spot at the shore and unpack your lunch
After you got tired having fun at the state park go grocery shopping in their local store
(don't forget to get small brekky or snacks for the next morning)
Check in at a cozy cabin.
Cook your favorite campfire meal
Don't forget to bring your own drink!
Do we have to say, "enjoy a relaxing night under the stars" with a cold drink in your hand?
Day 2
Downtown, South Haven
Checkout is usually at 11am. Enjoy a slow morning by sipping your warm drink of choice in a cozy cabin. Or head out for a short trek.
Take time to see how the locals are enjoying their city. You can spend the afternoon in the downtown area till it's time to head back.
You can check out their local cafe or ice cream parlor.
Things to note:
A recreational permit is needed at Van Burren State Park and can be purchased at the park.
Book your cabin ahead of time. We used Getaway cabin, Grand Junction outpost.
Good luck on your next adventure!
